A message from Paul Browne, our COC of the 2019 Cork 20 International Rally

Now that the madness has receded and we are getting back to some sense of normality and the 'Cork 20' is now a memory, I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who took the time to help us out over the weekend, to the office staff for their fantastic work, Seamus Geaney for the Service Area and Scrutiny Building, the Radisson Blu Hotel, to the stage commanders and marshals for their outstanding work, there is great credit due to each and every one of you for the way in which the stages were cleaned up after the rally. To the timekeepers and passage control, it was perfection as always. To Cork County Council and the residents for their patience and goodwill during the rally and of course to the Gardai who kept a watchful eye on the event. To our doctors, ambulance and rescue crews thank you very much. To CB Tool Hire for their sponsorship and support and of course to all our sponsors and program advertisers a very big 'thank you' as without your support this rally could not run. Motorsport Ireland, FIA, Pure Cork, Failte Ireland, the TROA, Southern 4 and the South East Stages championships all had a huge part in our rally. To all the members of the Munster Car Club, who worked long hours to get this over the line, take a bow for a job well done and also to our neighbouring Clubs for all their help.

I would love to mention each and everyone who was involved, but this would not be possible as there was in the region of 200 people behind this event and I might not get everybody in. Sincere thanks to my Deputy Brian McCarthy, it was a great pleasure and honor to work with you again this year.

What an incredible weekend!!

The CB Tool Hire Cork Cork 20 International Rally is over for another year!

Thank you to each and every person that helped out in the lead up to, and during the event! A lot of hard work and effort goes into running a rally, and the club are indebted to all those that help make the event a success!

Saturdays conditions were wild and wet to say the least - I think we had all four seasons in the one day! โ˜”๏ธ๐Ÿ’จโ˜€๏ธโ˜๏ธ
So a special word of thanks to all those who braved the conditions to stand out and marshal in order for the event to run successfully! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thank you to all competitors who entered and made the event the success it was! Congrats to all finishers and award winners! We certainly hope you all enjoyed the weekend and will come back again next year! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Congrats to our overall winners Marty McCormack & Barney Mitchell who debuted the Volkswagen Motorsport Polo R5 on Irish soil and took home the victory in the International Rally! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Congrats to 2019 ITRC Modified Champions Damian Toner & Michael Coady who won the National Section of the Rally! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Congrats to club member Owen Murphy & Anthony Nestor who took home the Historic honours! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Congrats to our Junior Winners Kieran Reen & Mark O' Leary ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

We're already looking forward to next year!! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
